Perm made GTUs for the Far East
At the end of December 2009 "Perm Engine Company" JSC entered into contract for the delivery of two GTU-16P packages for the main gas compressor station - GCS "Sakhalin" in the framework of "Gasprom" JSC project of natural gas main pipeline "Sakhalin-Khabarovsk - Vladivostok» construction.
Gas turbines are intended for operation as part of the gas pumping trains GPA-16M-03 "Ural" made by NPO "Iskra". The GTUs delivery is anticipated in the third quarter 2010.
The construction of the gas pipeline "Sakhalin-Khabarovsk-Vladivostok commenced in 2009. The first start-up complex of the gas transfer system stretching for 1350 kilometers with annual capacity of 6 billion cubic meters of gas is expected to be commissioned in the third quarter of 2011.
In the future the system should be capable of transporting 47.2 billion cubic meters of gas including 30 billion m3 of the Sakhalin gas.
The gas pipeline is intended to cover the industrial and household consumers gas requirements in such regions as Khabarovsk, Primorski Krai, the Jewish Autonomous Region and Sakhalin region. In total the project involves 1 booster (main) gas compressor station and 13 linear compressor stations.
For the gas-pipeline to reach itse designed capacity, "Gasprom" JSC will require about 70 gas turbines with the single unit capacity of 16 MW. Perm GTU equipped gas pumping trains shall account for 50% i.e. 35 packages of GTU-16P.
